Undergraduate Classification

Undergraduate degree-seeking students are classified according to the total number of credits earned.

Classification Completed Credits
Freshman 0 - 26
Sophomore 27 - 59
Junior 60 - 89
Senior 90 or more

Undergraduate Non-degree Student

A non-degree student is defined as either:

  • A student formally admitted to the university but not currently seeking a degree.
  • A student who has not completed the formal admission application (these students may take a maximum of 15 undergraduate credits).

All non-degree students are ineligible for financial aid and are subject to academic standing at the end of each semester.
